Children's Online Content

If we were able to worship in person, all children ages 3 and up would attend Godly Play.  Godly Play is a Montessori based play which explains bible stories in an age appropriate and fun way using figurines, textures and materials, then an art project.

As this is not possible during the pandemic, we have weekly lessons based on the Arch Book Children's Series.  Here is this week's material as well as some from the past few weeks.

We look forward to meeting in person again when it is safe to do so.  Blessings of health, happiness, love, and peace to you all.

Children's Story: Advent by The Godly Play Foundation

Happy Christmas Eve!  I don’t know about the children, but I miss the joy and wonder that comes with Godly Play.  For Christmas Eve I thought I would share a link to the Godly Play Foundation’s telling of the Godly Play Advent Story.

Since I am teaching in person myself and for the added safety of the preschoolers present in our St John's building, I sadly felt it was more responsible to share it this way instead of heading in and recording it myself in the Godly play space.  I hope you enjoy, and I hope you all have a very merry Christmas!

Children's Story: The Christmas Promise

This week's story is The Christmas Promise based on Luke Chapter 2 from the Arch Book Children's Book Series. It was written by Eric Bohnet and Illustrated by Ilene Richard. For activities and ideas for discussion please visit the Sermons4kids website.
