Our Beliefs
Following Jesus in love, worship, and service.
What We Believe
At St. John’s, our faith is rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. As part of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion, we seek to follow his way of love, compassion, and justice.
Our Faith
At St. John’s, our faith is rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world. We seek to follow Christ’s example of love, compassion, forgiveness, and justice in our daily lives.
Anglican Tradition
St. John’s is part of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion. Our tradition values Scripture, tradition, and reason as guides for faith.
Shared Leadership
At St. John's, we value shared leadership between clergy and laypeople. Members of the congregation actively participate in ministry and service.
The Trinity
Christians worship one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Through the Trinity we experience a God who is loving, liberating, and life-giving.
Radical Welcome
We have a legacy of inclusion and believe God’s love is for every person. Our church seeks to be a community where all people are welcomed and respected.
Living Our Faith
Faith is something we practice together through worship, prayer, learning, and service to our neighbors.
“Love one another as I have loved you.”
— John 13:34
