Where Should My Kids Go?
Children are always welcome in worship. Find activity bags for all ages behind the back row of pews with activities for various ages.
Nursery care and children's programming are available during the service. Please ask the Welcome Counter Host stationed at the kiosk under the TV in the narthex for assistance.
Will I Know What to Do During the Service?
Worship at St. John's is characterized by:
-
A welcoming community
-
Beautiful liturgical worship
-
Music from choir and organ
-
A sermon grounded in Scripture
-
Holy Communion open to all
Our Eucharist is grounded in Liturgy, Tradition, and Sacrament. Our worship follows a liturgical pattern that includes standing, sitting, praying, and responding together. If this is new to you, don’t worry—everything you need to follow the service is printed in the worship bulletin we hand out when you arrive, or follow along on your mobile device.
You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. Many people simply watch and listen their first time and join in more as they become familiar with the service. Most people find it easy to follow along by watching those around them.
If you have questions, our welcome team members are ready to help!
You are invited to stay with us after the service.
After the service we gather in Marsh Hall for coffee and conversation. Visitors are
especially welcome!
