Our community garden in Kirkland, Washington is a shared space where neighbors grow food, build relationships, and support the local community. Begun as a partnership with Girl Scouts working on their Silver Award project, it has grown into a shared space where neighbors cultivate food, friendships, and care for creation.
This year, the Community Garden is partnering with the New Bethlehem Center to provide fresh vegetables and herbs for their residents and Day Center.

Support the Garden Through Ignite Kirkland
St. John’s Episcopal Church is participating in Ignite Kirkland 2026 through a project to expand the State Street Community Garden to grow fresh vegetables and herbs for families served by New Bethlehem Place, a local shelter and day center in Kirkland.
Donations through the Ignite Kirkland campaign will help provide additional raised beds, soil, seeds, starts, irrigation supplies, and other resources needed to sustain the garden throughout the growing season.
Beginning June 1, supporters will be able to give directly through the Ignite Kirkland grant catalog.
