Here is the dedicated Zoom link that will work for all 3 sessions
Formation Course Information
St. John’s next Adult Education Series (presented by Canon John Fergueson) will explore and discuss The Outline of the Faith (Catechism) on pp. 844-862 of The Book of Common Prayer.
The Catechism is an amazing document setting forth a basic exposition of what the Episcopal Church believes.
Familiarity with the content of the Catechism, through guided exploration and discussion, is a fundamental foundational formation for Episcopalians, leading to the ability of all Episcopalians to explain to others what we believe.
The Catechism contains 18 topical sections, presented in a Question and Answer format.
Because there is so much important information contained in the Catechism, the teaching will be presented in three or four consecutive weekly sessions, followed by breaks. After each break, a new set of classes will be presented. The complete exploration will undoubtedly continue into early Spring of 2021.
The first set of classes will begin on January 27th with an Introduction to the Catechism., The next two classes will presented on February 3rd, and February10th. Each class will explore and discuss at least two sections of the Catechism. (The sections will not necessarily be in the topical order presented in the Prayer Book.)
The three Zoom class meetings of this first set will be presented on Wednesdays January 27th, February 3rd and February 10th at 7:00 pm 8:15pm, followed by Compline.
Online class notes will be provided on this page for downloading prior to each class.
Videos of all classes in this entire series will be available on this page for viewing.
