Cathedral Day 2025

Cathedral Day is a “family reunion” for Episcopalians from across western Washington. It’s a time for connecting across congregations and experiencing all your cathedral has to offer. Cathedral Day celebrates the idea of pilgrimage, with Saint Mark’s serving as your sacred destination.

If you’re planning on being confirmed, received, or reaffirmed at Cathedral Day, be sure to click here to let Fr. Michael know of your intent and RSVP here to reserve a free lunch for you and your party.

The service will be streamed. After the service, an archive recording will be available on the cathedral website.

Activities for All Ages – Take a docent-led tour of the cathedral and crypt and see chalk art by WWII soldiers; participate in a collaborative art project; hear a demonstration of the mighty Flentrop organ; launch recycled paper airplanes from the organ loft; walk the labyrinth and greenbelt; visit the Lefffler Garden; and bring seeds from our seed library back to your home or church!

Happy Easter!

Thank you for spending Holy Week with us!

Read brief summaries of the significant movements of the Holy Week liturgies, along with testimonials given by St. John's members of their own experiences of these liturgies and the mighty past events they make present to transform our lives.

God Shots

A "God shot" is a special moment when someone feels that God is truly active and involved in their life. It’s often a time when something amazing happens, and people say, "That was a God Shot!"

We pray you feel God’s presence with you today. Be on the lookout for a God Shot!

God communicates with us every day, in big and small ways. A recent example of a God shot can be seen in our own church. This lovely amaryllis was meant to bloom in white. Instead, the blooms are brilliant red in the shape of a cross. That's a God Shot!
