The Rev. Canon Lance Ousley

The Rev. Canon Lance Ousley currently serves as Canon for Stewardship and Development for the Diocese of Olympia (Seattle) and Priest-in-Charge at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Kirkland, Washington. Lance was born and raised in Texas, where he met and married his wife of 25 years, Jenness.

Lance writes, “If we, as God’s people, faithfully seek to live out the heavenly kingdom work that Jesus was doing in his earthly life and as leaders we empower others in their Baptismal ministry, then there is indeed great hope for our church and the world.” They have two children, Parkes who graduated from the University of Texas in 2016, and Evans who is attending Sewanee. As a family they enjoy the great outdoors, good food, being together with friends old and new, and they see ministry as a common calling.

The Rev. Josephine Robertson

Rev. Josephine RobertsonBorn and raised an Episcopalian on the windy shores of the Great Lakes state, Josephine inherited the family art of photography, and a passion for words. Her mother will tell you she was dictating poetry before she could write. She was trained and worked as a software engineer in the Detroit area before following a call to seminary in Austin Texas. There she married her husband, and served churches in both Austin and Waco, before they followed a new call to the Pacific Northwest. Here the ocean serves as an acceptable stand-in for her beloved lakes. Josephine currently serves at St. John’s in Kirkland where she exercises her passion for preaching, teaching, and spiritual formation. In her spare time she can be found on the back of a horse, or hiking the seashore with camera in tow.

Bailey Disher

Youth Ministry

Bailey Disher is a lifelong Episcopalian who did the majority of her growing up in the Silicon Valley, an area that is socioeconomically and culturally very similar to Kirkland. She found her calling for service, social justice, and youth ministry as a camp counselor and young adult on local, national, and international mission trips. Bailey graduated from Seattle University with a BA in Public Administration and a specific focus in Nonprofit Leadership. Passionate about cultivating young leaders for a lifetime of service, she enjoys collaborating with local faith communities to offer meaningful experiences for youth, families, and our entire parish to be involved in the Greater Kirkland community. No matter where she finds herself in her journey of faith, she says, Episcopalians are her people.
