What’s happening at St. John’s this summer? School is out for some of St. John’s youth and almost out for others. Here are some opportunities we've planned for you this summer. Your friends and family are welcome!
Saturday, July 28.
Baseball with the Bishop! Please join us as the Diocese of Olympia comes together for an outing to Safeco Field to see the Seattle Mariners take on the Kansas City Royals. The game is at 1:10, Saturday, July 28th. Tickets are in Sections 318 & 319 and are $15.00 each. Why is this listed first? Because we need to order tickets by

Thursday, July 4.
Join the parade! The Blue Angels, preschoolers, and friends will ride Jonah’s Whale as they sing patriotic songs. Contact the

Friday, July 27.
Ride a bike on the Burke Gilman Trail! We’re meeting at Log Boom Park in Kenmore and riding to Gas Works Park in Seattle. The ride is 12.2 miles each way so it’s a little over 24 miles. Bring your friends, a serviceable bike, helmet, water bottle, and a sack lunch. We’ll have a fun ride, eat lunch at Gas Works Park, enjoy the park, and then return to Log Boom Park. Summerfest 2012! Join St. John’s SummerFest! St. John’s will have a booth at SummerFest and we’ll be sharing God’s love by giving out cold water and providing a place for little children to rest and play. Contact the
Church Office or call 425-827-3077 to volunteer for a shift. Have fun and earn service hours for school at the same time!
Wednesday, August 15.
Seattle Scavenger Hunt! Meet at St. John’s parking lot at 9:30am. We will take the 10:03 #255 bus from the Kirkland Transit Center to Westlake Center. The fare for youth is $1.25 each way and adults and $2.25 for adults. Be sure to have the exact change or a Metro Card. You will also need money for lunch. Have you eaten a Japanese Hot Dog? You can do so in downtown Seattle! We’ll explore some familiar and not so familiar sites as you participate in a “scavenger hunt” in downtown Seattle! Plan on doing a lot of walking. We’ll return to the Church parking lot at 4:30pm. Contact the
