Fr. Scot Wright has been a pastor at St. John's since 1999. Having been an Episcopalian all his life, Fr. Scot has ministered as a priest in the Church for over 21 years in Hawaii, Southern California, and the Pacific Northwest.
Fr. Scot and Chitra have been married partners in ministry for thirty three years. They have three grown children of whom they are very proud.

Fr. Glen DeShaw - Priest in residence
Fr. Glen and his wife Becky have been at St. John's since December, 2008. They came to us when Fr. Glen retired from St. Paul's in Artesia, NM. Fr. Glen preaches and celebrates based on the schedule he and Fr. Scot have arranged.
Fr. Glen really enjoys coffee hour conversations so pull up a chair and join the conversation in Marsh Hall following the service.
Parish Administrator
As Parish Administrator, Marcia Crewdson, is responsible for the overall coordination of administrative functions at St. John's in collaboration with our Rector, Fr. Scot Wright. As the Parish Administrator she ensures information is communicated effectively among the employees, the Vestry, volunteers and parishioners. She leads the daily operations at St. John's and along with Fr. Scot, fosters a professional and friendly team environment that promotes the mission of the church. Ted Christensen has been St. John’s Director of Music for 14 years. He leads the Chancel Choir, co-leads the worship team, oversees various music ministries and organizes several special services and concerts throughout the year. Ted is also the music coordinator for the Northshore School District, as well as a band director at Inglemoor High School where he has been for 29 years. Ted, his wife Cathy and their two daughters have been members of St. John’s for 13 years and make their home in Kenmore.

I have have been gifted this opportunity to maintain the online presence of St. John's Episcopal Church. Having studied at Lake Washington Institute of Technology, paired with my design interests and love for Christ, I will enjoy this ministry. Fr. Tom Ortung - Priest in Residence
Director of Children's Ministry
Cathy Christensen is the Director of Children’s Ministry at St. John’s, a position she has held for 8 years. Her duties include overseeing the preschool through high school faith formation programs, organizing and directing the annual Christmas Pageant, co-leading an ecumenical vacation Bible camp and coordinating an annual parish mission trip. Prior to taking on this position, Cathy was a teacher at St. John’s Preschool, taught junior high English and worked in the retail and banking industries. Cathy, her husband, Ted, and their two daughters have been members of St. John’s since 1999.

Nicholas Strathy began studying piano at age 6, completing the eighth grade of the Toronto Conservatory during his teen years. Drawn to the organ by the inspired music of J.S. Bach, he began to study at age 17 in Montreal under Philps Motley, followed by Bernard Lagce. He completed a Bachelor of Music with distinction in Organ Performance under John Grew at McGill University in 1989, followed by a Master of Compuer Science in 1993 at Concordia University, both in Montreal. For most of his career he has done supply work as a church musician while working full time in computer related fields. He has been organist at St. John's since 2003. His fine work greatly enhances our worship.
