The Order of St. Luke is for those interested in the ministry of healing
OSL is an inter-denominational Christian healing ministry organization. Members meet together in local chapters organized within regions to study the Bible and other books on Christian healing. Members engage in healing prayer, often with laying-on of hands, and promote healing through annual healing missions, conferences or events.
The objectives are to bring about an increased understanding of spiritual healing and wholeness as an essential part of the teaching and practice of Jesus Christ as set forth in the New Testament, and to encourage Christians to understand that all believers have an active part in Jesus' healing ministry.
HOW TO BECOME INVOLVED: The Kirkland chapter meets in the sanctuary at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month. Everyone is welcome to attend. The meetings are an opportunity for us to be closer to our Lord. During our meetings, we start with prayer, listen to people share what God has done in their lives, praise and worship, study with a speaker, and pray for healing. We pray for physical, spiritual, emotional, mental, financial healing; any healing that the Holy Spirit leads us to pray for.
The emblem of the order, as shown above, is a cross within a circle, which together make an acrostic. The motto is in Latin:
JESU ESTO MIHI JESUS - DUX - LUX - REX - LEX roughly translated, this means: Jesus, be to me my Savior (Healer), Leader, Light, King, and Law. The emblem is blue to signify healing.
