Acolytes are a very important part of the worship service at St. John's. They lead the procession of worship leaders into the sanctuary as they carry the cross, light of Christ and the altar Bible during the 10 a.m. service and during special services throughout the year. Acolytes also help with the offering, carrying the offering plates to the altar. When a baptism occurs in our church, the acolyte stands next to the minister assisting the pastor in several ways throughout the ceremony. Acolytes participate in other special events during the worship service, too.

Children and youth ages 8-18 are invited to join this ministry.  Various training opportunities are offered throughout the year.  Please consult the church calendar for these dates and times.
