Confirmation |
The gift of commitment is aptly communicated through the sacrament of Confirmation. If you are ready to be renewed, empowered, and strengthened in your life in Christ for His service in the world then the church is willing and ready to prepare you for this exciting step in God’s wonderful adventure in grace. Classes for confirmation are usually offered in the spring of the year after Easter with the course ending around the Day of Pentecost. The preparation culminates with the Bishop laying his hands on your head praying for the power of the Holy Spirit to fill your life. Depending upon the year this will happen at St. John’s or at the cathedral. You may also wish to renew your commitment if you have already been confirmed or if your have been confirmed in another church outside of the Anglican Communion you may wish to be received into our fellowship.
